Before we create your login credentials and onboard you onto the Gilded platform, we need to collect additional information. This process takes a few steps but is designed to be as easy as possible. If you are registering as an individual, a Gilded account will be set up in your name. Please select entity if you wish to register as a Corporation, LLC, Family Office, Institutional Investor, Trust, or other entity.

What are the eligibility requirements for opening a Gilded account?

The Gilded offering is available in multiple countries to individuals 18 years or older and entities that meet all applicable onboarding and KYC/AML requirements set by regulators and Gilded.

What does KYC/AML process refer to?

KYC/AML is shorthand for “Know Your Customer/Anti-Money Laundering” and refers to a set of internationally and nationally developed regulation and practices designed both to verify the identity, suitability, and risks involved with onboarding customers and to prevent and detect potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and financial crime. Gilded takes its KYC/AML responsibilities very seriously, and we comply with KYC/AML requirements in all jurisdictions where our products and services are available. In addition to Gilded’s internal procedures, we utilize the services of multiple KYC/AML providers, including Moody’s/Regulatory DataCorp, and Au10TIX, to ensure the thorough and ongoing review and vetting of customers.

In certain circumstances, we may report to the relevant authorities those applicants whose information raises potential material money laundering, terrorist financing, or other concerns.

What are the details of the KYC/AML process?

Gilded’s KYC/AML process is designed to prevent such activities as money laundering, terrorist financing, and financial crime by gathering, analyzing, and evaluating personal information about our customers and their transactions.

For individuals, this involves but is not limited to verifying your identity and providing proof of address and bank account.

For entities, this includes but is not limited to providing documentation regarding the establishment of the entity and ownership structure.

Additional documentation may be required depending on the information provided during the initial submission.

Gilded’s KYC/AML process is an ongoing activity that starts with the opening of your account.

How long does the account set up process typically take?

At Gilded, our goal is to make the onboarding process simple. Regardless of the type of account you are opening, there are a few required steps; completing our account forms, providing supporting documentation and verifying your bank account.

For individuals, once all information is provided successfully, we aim to have your account set up within 48 hours.

For entities, we aim to have the account set up within 5 business days.

What fees are associated with the Gilded Platform?

Gilded assesses fees for gold purchases at the time of purchase, gold storage which is accrued daily and gold sales at the time of the sale.
